Research on circuit breaker failure protection and the secondary accelerated fault isolation scheme of VSC-HVDC grids

چکیده

When the direct current circuit breaker (DCCB) fails to operate, fault range will further expand, endangering safe operation of power gird. Therefore, this study proposes a DCCB failure protection method and secondary accelerated isolation scheme voltage source converter-based high-voltage (VSC-HVDC) grids. On basis considering influence disconnection, characteristics after are analyzed, based on “increase current” discrimination is proposed. By analyzing logical relationship among failed re-tripping, adjacent action, blocking converter station, AC proposed minimize area. The achieves DC faults avoids trip effectively. Simulation results verify effectiveness scheme.
